Bon Iver to play Cape Cinema

Looks like Justin Vernon and Co. (aka Bon Iver) have a hankering for some fried clams. The band has just announced they will be playing the Cape Cinema, in Dennis, MA, for two nights in May. The cinema started a music series last year and they are now lining up acts for this summer. So far, Martha Wainwright is the only other performer on the schedule (August 17). But what band can pass up sand, beach, seafood, and SUN!? All that bus travel and hanging out in bars and dark concert venues must make them dreary and pasty white. So, note to all tour managers: work a little clambake into your summer tour schedule, play the Cape Cinema! Your bands (and fans on the Cape) will thank you.

Here are the rest of the details for the upcoming Bon Iver show:

Coming off the incredible debut album, “For Emma, Forever Ago,” Bon Iver returns to the Cape Cinema where last summer a sold out crowd gave the band three encores. They will perform two shows, their only in the northeast this summer, in this uniquely beautiful and intimate venue (300 seats). Expect some surprises since Justin Vernon and his band will have just completed five days of rehearsal in preparation for their upcoming European tour.
