Elvis Perkins Marches On

Seems that local New York news station NY1 is hitting the indie rock concert scene. Reporter George Whipple interviewed Elvis Perkins when he stopped by the band’s soundcheck at Bowery Ballroom last week. Click on the image above to watch the interview.

And based on the following report it sounds like the show was a rousing good time, as the band decided to take their act to the streets…

On Wednesday Elvis Perkins In Dearland played an amazing set at NYC’s Bowery Ballroom. The show was sold out and its not everyday a concert ends with marching-band procession out to Delancy Street and into the JMZ subway station and back out again on the other side of the street right? Band and audience members alike joined the parade!

I think this is the only time I can honestly say it would have been fun to be on the platform waiting for the M train at that moment.
